On July 26th the epic and award-winning Banner Saga trilogy will come to it’s climactic and dramatic end. Fans will be able to play through the complete saga from beginning to the end. You’ve witnessed the journey so far captured in this ‘Previously On’ trailer to the right, and now we want you to tell your own story in your own way from the beginning.

We would like to invite you to create your own trailer for the Banner Saga story so far using the trailers and images provided below, footage from the game that you’ve captured yourself or your own artwork.

The following criteria will help guide you on what we are looking for:

1. Make this trailer for someone who has never played a Banner Saga game but who might be interested in finding out what it’s all about.
2. Use this as a chance to tell your story in your own unique way – be creative, informative and emotional as you see fit to keep in line with the mature story-driven theme that the Banner Saga franchise represents.
3. Keep your trailer under 5 minutes long.
4. Trailers can use any of the assets provided here in addition to your own content (gameplay, live action, animation, real life footage or any other way you can think of to accurately tell the story) and of course must be your own and not steal from anyone else’s work.

Q: When does the contest start and end?

A: The Banner Saga Trailer Contest begins at 10:00 am, Pacific Time on 28th June, 2018 and ends at 11:59 pm, Pacific Time on 20th July, 2018.

Q: How can I enter the Banner Saga Trailer Contest?

A: Send a YouTube link with your finalized trailer to the following email address: . Entries are limited to one per person.

It must meet the following requirements:

  • Trailers must be your original creation using the assets provided in combination with assets you own or have the proper permission to use. Submissions should not infringe on any other party’s rights or content including trademarks, logos, game capture, etc.
  • Submissions should not be any longer than 5 minutes.
  • You should aim for the highest quality for your trailer. We recommend 1080p or 720p.
  • Your trailer must include the title, “My Banner Saga – Recap”.
  • In the description of your trailer we recommend including your own explanation of your video direction in about 2-3 sentences plus links to both bannersaga.com and Embark on your own Banner Saga.

Q: What is the judging criteria?

A: We will have a team of Banner Saga experts reviewing all submissions to select the winners.

Q: When will the winners be alerted?

A: Winners will be announced on 25th July, 2018.
